Find the country houses that appeal to you the most
Looking for a country house?
The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes located in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, like trekking, bird watching, and cycling.
It was advertised as “a quiet studio” and was very peaceful - in the morning, all I could hear were bird calls. Yet it was close to the city and its amenities.
We had a quick stay in Tours to see the Chateaus, and this hotel was very close to the train station and walking distance to where our tour was meeting. A nice good sized room, big bed and quiet despite being so close to the train station, and quite a lot of restaurants nearby, not just fast food eateries. We walked into town and around looking at the attractions, so well situated.
This is such a great little hotel. The location is perfect, 5 minutes walk from Tours railway station. Here you can take trains to Amboise and Chenonceau chateaus. The rooms are really comfortable and clean and the ensuite is a good size, again clean and fresh. It's right by the road but it's quiet at night. Breakfast is nice, reasonable choice. The staff are so nice, helpful and friendly. It's a great place for a holiday.
We were there for one night, it was ideal located less than 10min walk from city center, very clean room, spacious, very good bathroom with walk in shower, great staff, very quiet at night in a peaceful neighbourhood, private and safely gated parking for guests. We didnt have breakfast but we had a nice coffee and bisquit on the communal terrace and a great talk with the very friendly owners and staff, very nice !
A big bedroom and bathroom for the price
A king sized bed
The fan and wooden shutters to help with the very hot weather.
The friendly and welcoming and helpful staff.
The lovely courtyard entrance -quiet and peaceful arrival
Located very close to the town railway station and an easy walk to the most amazing Rue Colbert for restaurants and on into the old town.
Good breakfasts
Breakfast was simple but delicious with fresh bakery and homemade preserves and yoghurt. The owner was extremely helpful and provided tickets for the tram into the centre of Tours. Location was in a lovely quiet district with a peaceful garden setting and yet only a short tram ride into the centre of Tours. Would definitely recommend as a place to stay.
The location was central to the city and all of the activities we had chosen to do. Considering its central position it was so quiet and peaceful!
