The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes located in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, like trekking, bird watching, and cycling.
Good location an hour from Calais. Quiet area of town ( interesting history to the town)
Staff friendly and helpful ( tho nobody was around to greet us - took 3 hits of the bell before anyone emerged)
Thomas and Alienor were very welcoming we stayed 2 nights due to car trouble Thomas was brilliant and helped with the language and communicating with the garage we really would of been stuck without their help they both work so hard and have only owned the chateau since june 2023 also the property is pet friendly
This hotel was comfortable and clean. Check in was easy with a key safe system. There was plenty of secure parking. The hotel was quiet and only a short walk into the town.
The hosting was exceptional - extremely attentive and very welcoming.
The Chateau is lovely and the decor eccentric but attractive. Beautiful garden and lovely patio.
Good breakfast served in an elegant dining room. In house bar which was great. Excellent value for money.
It’s very cosy and comfortable. It’s also very clean and well looked after. The area is very peaceful with a playground for children and terraces to relax on and have bbqs on.
Beautiful property with a real sense of grandeur, with very high ceilings and a huge room.
Our room overlooked the large garden to the rear, which was lovely.
Location is very quiet, which was nice to escape the day to day noise and the local bar, just 50m away was superb.
The hosts (new owners) were very attentive and helpful.
The chateau as a private house B&B requires guests to be away from the property between 11am - 4 pm which didn't cause us problems but might affect others more.
The host Francis is very welcoming and attentive.
This property could be described as a bit quirky but typically old style French in an elegant building.
It is good to have the option of eating in rather than having to travel to a restaurant, particularly as there didn't seem to be anything in the vicinity.
Lovely quiet, peaceful. Playground, lots of space to explore. Friendly owner and dog. Lots of big fish in the lake. Comfortable and relaxing. Car broke down so was a last minute booking but we did luck out!
