We took a detour to have a quiet accomodation on our journey to Portugal. The place is superb with a wonderful view. Our room overlooked neighbours garden and had a small balcony.
We appreciated free buffet breakfast, although coffee was instant, not a real one :)

Everything. We had a great welcome from our hosts and nothing was a bother for them. Lovely place to stay and wish we had booked for two nights. Can’t praise this place and the people enough. We loved it there and would not hesitate to go back. Breakfast was excellent. The scenery and the village was beautiful.
The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes based in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, such as trekking, birdwatching and cycling.
The apartment was wonderful. Located in a lovely quiet village. Hosts were very helpful friendly and accommodating.
Kids loved playing in the pool and enjoying the views.
An added bonus was attending the free bbq and music event as the village had a fiesta going on for the weekend. All locals were really friendly.
breakfast is served in a gorgeous courtyard at the back of hotel where a copious buffet is available. Staff are prompt, friendly and hotel is very quietly despite being right in the center of the village (the whole village is pedestrian and made of cobbled street - just glorious. parking is very near and 4 euros for 24h. Entering the hotel is like setting foot in a 16th century mansion, just beautiful

Immaculate apartment within a quiet area of Santillana. Two minute walk from the centre of this beautiful village. Pristine and comfortable. We only stayed one night on our journey to Santander ferry. Would highly recommend and we will return for a longer stay to explore the Cantabria countryside.
Our second stay in Sep 2023. A different room this time - outside the main building. Not as good as our previous room but to be expected as a little older I suspect. Great location for Santander and the beautiful town of Santillana del Mar. Great hospitality, lovely breakfasts, tranquil location in quiet countryside location off the beaten track. Superb gardens. Very Dog friendly which is a bonus for us.
Beautiful view from our window of countryside with mooing cows. Location is quiet, but only a two minute walk into the town. Beatrix was super helpful with suggestions and seems to really enjoy what she does. Spotlessly clean room.
