Service, impeccably clean , friendly, amazing views. Meals were perfectly prepared by receptionist’s mother. I at dinner I have the best paella ever. Breakfast was plentiful. They picked us up at Ligonde and brought us back to Palas de Rei (as we asked.) Our laundry was done for a modest cost.

The best stay we had on our trip in Spain! The owner and staff go above and beyond to ensure you have an incredible stay. They use locally sourced food for the restaurant. Incredible, fine dining at its best! Great room, comfortably sized and beautiful main lodge. Right on the Camino! You are not considered a guest here, you become one of the family. We are still talking about our stay here days later.

I loved the quiet setting. So many people don’t like Palas de Rei, it’s really nice to be close, on the Camino path, and yet not in the noisy city. The restaurant was good, room great too.

The house was perfectly situated right on the Camino - with a restaurant attached to it (not associated) - which was super convenient. The house is old and quirky but so much character. It has a washing machine and drying racks. It was a perfect stay for three of us after walking the Camino on a super rainy day. There are three bedrooms and 6 beds total - a very reasonable deal even for three of us.
The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes located in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, like trekking, bird watching, and cycling.
A stunning 200+ year old magnificent property. It felt like staying in a grand villa. The room was extremely quiet, beautifully furnished, and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. Manuel and Jessica were extremely friendly and very efficient. The dinner and breakfast were very high quality - delicious food and lots of it!

In their dining room. Dinner is a set menu but there were 3 choices for each course. Tasty local food of overly generous proportions. Would definitely recommend anyone walking or visiting this part of Spain to stay at this property. Their son Manuel was a welcoming host.
I can honestly say I have never stayed somewhere so wonderfully rich with history as well as luxury. the family hosting provided an expcetional experience from pick up from Ligonde, to bar and food service and even tried to help em organise a massage on the day of. I’d love to come again with my partner as it is very romantic.
