The landlady is a lovely person. Meeting her was like discovering an Aunt I never knew I had. She made us feel welcome from the start and responded immediately to an issue we had (the toilet kept running when you flushed). This was swiftly resolved. The village is a delight, quiet and with only one social centre / bar, it was an ideal place to see real Catalans at their ease. We were welcomed by the locals and never felt ourselves "pesky tourists". There are some fine walks in the immediate area and lots of places to visit within a 15-20 minute drive. If you admire Romanic Churches there are lots to see, if you are interested in history, then the dinosaur museum in the next town along and the local remains of the Spanish Republican defenses from the Spanish Civil Wat (1936-1939) are fascinating.
