The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes located in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, like trekking, bird watching, and cycling.
Not a good place to sleep if you are can’t sleep through the noise of dogs barking and doors accidentally slamming. Soundproofing above and below the rooms is terrible. We did write in well ahead of time to say we were light sleepers and could we have a room not facing the main road. It wasn’t until we arrived that we were told that not of their double rooms faced the quiet side of the property.
Great place to stay if you have dogs. Dogs are plentiful and welcome.

I just love my room. It was so charming, spacious, clean, beautiful. The whole house is amazing, together with a garden. If you like peaceful environment, would highly recomend.
Lovely little hotel, 30 mins from Bilbao port, super dog friendly in a beautiful old Basque building. Very quiet yet short walk to bakio Seafront. Optional breakfast at €6 pp is lovely, fresh, and great value served in an old flag stoned floor room. Early check in available from 1pm which is great.
Absolutely amazing apartment, super clean and very well equipped. The details give you a 5* feeling. Everything feels new and of high quality. You wake up with view on lush green fields with donkeys and sheep, super quiet and lovely. The owner lady was very lovely too, have us tips where to hike etc
It’s supposed to be a one star hotel but you feel like you are staying in a much more premium hotel. It’s very well decorated and has a peaceful and cozy vibe to it.
Beautiful interiors and tasteful decor make this a stunning hotel in a fabulous setting on the sea front . Lovely touches and extras are welcome additions to the luxurious and comfortable accommodation. A highlight is the amazing breakfast served up by the family - local produce and attentive hospitality - couldn’t have been better!
