Our room was good for two nights near the coast. The host had great recommendations for restaurants and activities. The bedroom was small but comfortable, and street noise was mostly muted. Noise from the hall was a bit loud in the morning. We were able to walk to the beach from the hotel (about 30 minutes through the countryside). The terasse and parking was great.

I had a wonderful stay at Araucaria House. The location is perfect for us to make exploring the area easy. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with all the essentials. The staff was friendly and always willing to help. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. It was a great experience, and I would definitely stay here again!

The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes based in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, such as trekking, birdwatching and cycling.
Wife and I stayed one night while hiking the Ruta do Cantábrico. Very clean and new rooms. Warm staff. Good location: not in Foz, but very nearby and right on the hiking trail. Close to several beaches. We enjoyed eating and drinking on the terrace. Good air conditioning and comfortable bed. Friendly owner.
Comfortable room with view to countryside on top of hill next to Camino Norte. Fresh air, peaceful countryside, slept with window open. Line to dry hiking clothes outside. Good evening meal. Coffee, drinks souvenir shop open till 16:00. Adjacent clean large shared bathroom.
It was a little out of the way, so it was quiet and peaceful. The property was beautifully maintained, rooms modern and bright. Our host was friendly and very helpful with what we could do and see in the area. Dinner was made with fresh produce and delicious.
Highly recommend this place. If I ever get the chance to come to Galicia again I would certainly stay here.
What a lovely and charming place! I stayed one night in the Araucaria House, and it was an absolutely amazing experience. Maribel is a very kind host. She showed me around and made me feel comfortable. It’s a beautiful big mansion with a delicious interior (great styling and feeling at home). The garden with all the lovely cats and the nice trip to the Cathedral beach are big bonuses for the experience.
I truly love the place and would love to come back again the future!
Spacious, clean, well equipped home in a quiet neighbourhood. Nice to have all necessary kitchen equipment for cooking. Electric blankets on the bed do the good job in the winter time.
We were welcomed with open arms by Maribel and Manuel. After being shown around the house, we were offered a welcome drink. The accomodation is outstanding, superior to some 5 star hotels. Our room which was downstairs, was clean, spacious and tastefully furnished. The walled garden was so quiet and peacefull, a real haven after motoring Northen Spain.
The owner, Santi, was very kind and helpful. Appreciated the strawberries and loganberries from the garden. A few mosquitoes around but the apartment had a plug-in killer. Quiet and peaceful.
