The property is on the quieter side of the island, which is very peaceful and has beautiful views. Talaat, the owner/manager, is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Indeed the residents of Elephantine Island are lovely people, and they continued to surprise with their « chilled out » friendly nature, which was heartwarming.
The property is absolutely beautiful to look at, the rooms are exceptionally clean and the beds were very comfortable. The host will go above and beyond to help you with anything you need, he booked us taxis and transfers for a good price and made the best lunch and breakfast. The location is great, it’s about a 600 metre walk to the main part of the Nubian village, which we loved, it was very quiet at night and very peaceful. Also the price was fantastic for what we received. We would recommend it to everyone 100%.
I had a wonderful time at Nuba Narty and felt immediately like home here. The staff were so helpful, kind and available at any time. It is a quiet place, far from the big hotels crowded! The colors and the landscape are stunning and Abdul is an excellent chef, he prepares delicious Nubian food. Kallos was happy to help every time and can even organize some tours. I highly recommend this peaceful place and I thank you again for everything. I will be back with my family for sure
Besides the amazing Elephantine island and the nice rooftop, what makes the stay at Abu Guest House really unique is Abu. He arranged for us all the activities we wanted to do (felucca, boat to the Kitchener's island or to the Nubian villages, Abu Simbel, taxi to Luxor). He is a very good cook and always prepare the best beverages.
Besides that, the guest house offers nice and simple little rooms with AC. 5 minutes from the nearest public ferry (south). Really quiet and peaceful environment.
This is something of an oasis on Elephantine Island. Very quiet and peaceful. Located on the river with a nice view of the desert on the other side and the botanical garden. Much nicer than the chaos of Aswan city or some of the other guest houses on the island. Highly recommended.
The hotel is extremely beautiful. It is a little piece of paradise in the middle of the desert. The views are amazing. Very quiet and peaceful. The members of the staff are all super nice and helpful, specially Sara. She was super attentive and helpful throughout our stay and on the last day we had a problem with our taxi on our way to the airport and she went the extra mile to help us and make sure everything was alright.
Location was lovely: so quiet and peaceful! Staff very helpful in terms of arranging travel to/from hotel (though excursions can be found cheaper elsewhere).
Nubian village is a quiet place at night and enjoyable to stay, however there is not much to do, not many options for restaurants or shopping grocery. In general I liked the peaceful of the place.
Ayujidda House is set on a quiet island overlooking the dam. It is peaceful and relaxing. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. Reim, our host and cook was very good at trying to speak English. We ate both Breakfast and Dinner at the house and it was delicious. Mustaf our boat driver was excellent, always on time and was always willing to help. If you are wanting to experience traditional Nubian life this is definitely the place to book.
