The setting is breathtaking—views that will steal your words. You can explore beaches, hike through nature, swim in the pristine waterfall, or just chill (frog songs at night are unreal).
The accommodations are simple but more than enough when the vibe and the surroundings are this rich. The hosts? Next level. They’re not only friendly but also deeply interesting, making sure every detail of your stay feels personal. The food—prepared by the owner—is a highlight, every meal fresh and full of flavor.
It’s clear from the conversations with Alix and Brice that they’re not just caretakers of the house. They’re storytellers, adventurers, and deeply rooted in the land.
Their knowledge of the area adds so much to the experience.
Honestly , their warmth and insight make the stay feel less like a getaway and more like being welcomed into a family.
If you’re looking for a mix of adventure, serenity, and authentic connection, this place nails it.

AMAZING view from the rooftop over the Minca valley and jungle. Toucans visible at close range most mornings that the weather was fine. Very friendly hosts. Location maybe 10 minutes walk from Minca but I loved how quiet it was and easy to recharge!
The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes located in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, like trekking, bird watching, and cycling.
Incredibly clean ! Very nice comfy house with all the facilities. It's a quiet place in nature and great value for money! Los cocos beach is 5 minutes away and it took me 15 minutes to get to Tayrona park from the property, including a 5 minute bus ride, and I have to say the hot shower was a treat after the entire day trekking 😜 I highly recommend, thanks again Guillaume and Dani for hosting me, I will come back for sure ! 😊
The accommodation was very nice and cosy. Great location close to the beach and restaurants/ cafes. Yet it was in a peaceful quiet street. The room was very clean and had air conditioning which was a great advantage. The owners were very helpful and took great care of the guests. They helped me with the taxi and arranged a nice breakfast. Highly recommended
Like travelling through time, incredible old house turned into a lovely B&B. The staff makes you feel right at home. Great location, in the middle of the old town but quiet/peaceful. Great breakfast!
Amazing hostel, probably the best in Santa Marta. Great central area with swimming pool, bar with cheap drinks, hammocks, very social vibe. Close to all the clubs and beaches. Very quiet at night so you sleep peacefully.
Its hard to explain how peaceful and beautiful this little spot is. Lots of wildlife sounds at night and very tranquil feeling.
Kind and helpful hosts. Gati and Julio were great and the dogs were adorable and sweet.
Super close to the park entrance and they provide breakfast so you can get up and get hiking quickly.
The spring fed pool is great to cool off in when you get back from hiking.
If you get up early and take a walk to the park there's a decent chance you'll see monkeys on the trail.
We loved everything, the food was fresh, home made and tasty, the room spacious and luxurious, comfortable beds. Best massage in ages. We got our laundry and hiking boots cleaned for little money. We got a perfect on time breakfast to go when we had to take an early plane. Very very friendly staff. Will definately recommend this hotel!
Beautiful Building, very specious rooms. It's really a quiet place in the city centre. It has an luxurious feeling. The building has it's own character
This cabana in Taganga is really amazing. We had 6 nights here and enjoyed all of them. Taganga itself can be a bit hectic, therefore staying at Bareke Azul on the hillside was just wonderful - only 5 min from centre of Taganga but far enough to get some peace, quiet and wonderful views. Also, one of the owners Ramon is just a really great and friendly host. All in all, we had an amazing stay at Bareke Azul. It’s not a luxury hotel, but considering the price, it’s perfect.
