Due to the pandemic that has become impossible, so I wanted to pick a country with a coastline towards the Atlantic and Portugal was the perfect match. I had already visited the Algarve last year and knew I wanted to live in a rural location between Aljezur and Odeceixe, so Rogil was what I was looking for. If you really, really want tranquility and peace of mind Herdade de Vagem is truly the place for you. The silence, the closeness to amazing nature like the beach of Praia do Vale dos Homes, the small country roads and friendly people. You have it all here. The host was very attentive and responsive to messages during my stay. As I was coming with food that would have otherwise been spoiled, I was allowed to check in earlier as there were no previous guests. The apartment was simply perfect for me in size. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen perfect in size. The week I stayed simply flew away. In one way or another I will come back, that is for sure.

The houses are very modern and well equipped. We were very pleased with how clean it was. The surrounding area is very quiet. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive to details.

Everything is perfect, from the calm of the rooms, the view, the friendliness of the staff, the breakfast or the location of the hotel. The staff is of great help to organize your stay, and you will feel at home.

We appreciated having access to a washing machines though we could have used some basic instructions. The settings on the machine were unclear, but maybe we are just not familiar with machines made for European users.

Walkable to the beach and town. The owners' attention to detail and the experience you have is magical: recommendations for restaurants, beaches, hand picked wines, breakfast and dinner to die for. This is the place I would always come back to. One of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. Thank you!

The owner was lovely and very helpful. He even drove us into town to get groceries, which was above and beyond any expectations!!
