Fueron super amables y nos ayudaron con todos. El transporte y el trekking en la selva con ellos fue increible, y mas barato que en ningun sitio. Tondi el guia fue espectacular. Recomendable 100% tanto el hospedaje, como la comida, como las actividades y transportes.

We had a really great time at Magpie homestay. The accomodation is pretty, comfortable, clean, and surrounded by a very beautiful and private tropical garden. The host will cater to your every need, from transportation to local activities and offers delicious homemade meals. We also booked a day-long trek with them and it was perfect, the guide and his assistant did everything they could for us to have the best experience in the forest (and we did!). If you want to discover a bit more the tourist part of the village you will have to walk a little to reach it (or use a tuktuk), the path is easy to follow and you'll be able to get a good view of the area. The entrance of the park is a short walk from Magpie.

What truly set this stay apart, however, was the extraordinary kindness and helpfulness of the host family. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment throughout our visit. We couldn't have asked for a more enchanting experience.

El Horas Family Home está situado en la zona de Tuk Tuk de la isla de Samosir, en medio de un remanso de paz rodeado de vegetación natural. Ofrece conexión WiFi gratuita y acceso directo al lago Toba.... Everything, starting from the friendly atmosphere of a family run hotel with many facilities and activities for the guests. We lived in a wonderful apartment: clean, well furnished, ample and comfortable. We did not use the kitchen facilities that were available and exploited instead the very attractive and satisfactory meal options provided by the structure itself. In a word, we have been coddled for the whole length of our stay. Should we come back to lake Toba (which we hope) this will be the first address to look for.
