The house was exactly as described, very cozy and well furnished. Tina welcomed us warmly and also gave us a couple eggs from her hens and some milk. Would have stayed more!

Boasting garden views, Alba - Charming boutique forest view cabin with hot tub in Ballater features accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 15 km from Balmoral Castle. Cabin was clean and warm. Location was good as many things to do within driving distance. Would definitely recommend it. Perfect if you're looking for somewhere to base yourself. Going up ladder for top bed good for older kids.

Offering a garden and river view, The Fiddichside Inn is located in Aberlour, 30 km from Huntly Castle and 35 km from Grantown Museum. Loved being on the river! Cottage is very charming and cozy. Easy check in and check out. Pub next door is fantastic! We went to the store in Dufftown and cooked dinner at the cottage! Kitchen had everything we needed to cook a very nice dinner! Beds are very comfortable and rooms are big!

Featuring a garden and views of inner courtyard, Brylach Steading is a holiday home situated in a historic building in Aberlour, 12 km from Elgin Cathedral. Perfect location beautiful scenery and very friendly hosts. We could not fault this place.

Set in Ballater and only 15 km from Balmoral Castle, Aileen - Unique tiny house with wood fired roll top bath in heart of the Cairngorms offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free... Great location and walk to the town from the house. Wood fired tub was a nice experience. Such a well out tiny home, family of 4 was very comfortable!

Set in Stonehaven, Stonehaven ground floor home with a spectacular harbour view. Offers a restaurant and sea views, 200 metres from Carron Beach and less than 1 km from Cowie Beach. Every thing was perfect , plenty of room and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need to cook , Paul Hollywood would be impressed , bathroom just needs a shower tidy for bottles , the beds were really comfy , the location is absolutely brilliant right on the harbour , it isn’t noisy it’s a nice sound of people enjoying themselves , you can literally roll to the harbour pub/restaurants which are nice . Some great walks and the off road parking space is a bonus .

Located within 32 km of Balmoral Castle and 46 km of Huntly Castle in Aboyne, Cairngorm Bothies offers accommodation with seating area. This chalet provides free private parking and bicycle parking. It was a fun experience with the kids. The bothie is a small wood cabin, very cosy and ours (there are 12) was very clean and well equipped. The kids loved the location in the woods, the feeling of living a bit like in the olden times with the wood stove. If you are considering renting for 4 people please be advised that the double bed is a regular size but the two extra beds are quite short and not suitable for two adults. We were fine because our kids are still short enough to fit comfortably.
