Set in Carabietta, Antica torre del castello Casa Ceresiana is a recently renovated accommodation, 7.4 km from Lugano Station and 10 km from Exhibition Center Lugano. Very clean and cozy. Old building (it dates back to 13th century) with modern interior. It is in a quite and tranquil area. Parking is nearby. If you travel with car there are plenty of food choices within few kilometers (on the other side of the lake). The house is so close to the lake - you see it from the windows and when you open the front door, the view is beautiful. Unfortunately it was raining heavily when we arrived and when we were leaving so we could not enjoy a walk. The hosts were very polite, they were waiting for us and gave us a tour of the house, explained how to turn on the heating if needed and gave us an extra blanket. We got a bottle of wine as a gift and chocolate for the morning coffee. The only issue is that we stayed just for one night on our way home - I would spent more time there as the house and the area are really beautiful.

It is a good sized house, comfortable and tastefully decorated. It is remote which we loved as given us time to relax, however close enough to shops etc

One of the nicest and most welcoming places we’ve ever stayed! Tiziana and her daughter Giorgia went out of there way to do everything to make this the perfect stay, including providing a well-stocked fridge on arrival. After a long journey through the mountains a cold beer was brilliant!

Great apartment in a very peaceful location. Fabulous views and close to hiking trails. I would recommend the Monte Bar hike and highly recommend stopping at the Capanna Monte Bar restaurant on the way up. We enjoyed rolling out our yoga mats on the balcony. Valle Verzasca is also highly recommended for a hike along the most stunning river - best to go early though as parking spaces are limited.
