We had a very pleasant three-night stay--couldn't ask for better. The rooms are new and well thought out and designed. The location is an easy walk from the old town of Durnstein so you can get away from the busyness of the old town. If you're arriving by train, the station is right around the corner but the trains are quiet. Breakfast was excellent and prepared and served by Theresa, the owner. Theresa knows how to take care of guests. She answered any questions we had and made excellent recommendations for restaurants.

It was absolutely amazing. This place is a perfect mix of charm and art. The five bedrooms are super comfy with luxurious beds, and the bathrooms are just as impressive—big walk-in showers and elegant bathtubs. One of the best parts was the butler service. It made us feel so taken care of, from preparing dinner to making sure we had everything we needed. The garden is a private paradise, with a sparkling pool, sun loungers, and even a sauna and fitness area. It was so relaxing, we hardly wanted to leave. But when we did, the Wachau region didn’t disappoint—there’s so much to explore, from hiking trails and castles to amazing local restaurants. Plus, it’s just an hour’s drive from Vienna, so it’s easy to get to, but feels like a total escape. If you’re looking for the perfect hideaway with top-notch service and a great atmosphere, it is the perfect spot.

A very special and unique place. The apartment was bright and lovely, incredibly spacious, comfortable, clean, and perfectly equipped. The bed and linen were exceptionally comfortable. Located in the charming schloss, it was easy to find. Phillip is very friendly and helpful. We received clear instructions prior to our arrival and a warm welcome. We also enjoyed a pleasant wine tasting with Phillip. The courtyard was lovely. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it.
