The dog friendly layout and fence were amazing. The elevator was nice to have. Having 2 decks was my favorite part. The beach was very clean (minus jellyfish, but it's the season for them) and not crowded. All in all, it was a lovely trip and we hope to come back!

The home was cozy, clean and so well decorated. The main shower… well… it was magical. I took a shower twice a day or more because I could not get enough of that shower. We came down to visit friends and they also fell in love with the property making the comment that it was one of the nicest homes on the island. The open floor plan allowed for a flow into each room giving the home a much bigger experience. Don’t let the small exterior fool you. The beds are SUPER comfortable. We’ve stayed in many rental homes and this place ranks number one of all the places we’ve ever stayed. Since our friends moved to the island a year ago we are planning multiple trips per year to come down and visit them and we sure hope this place is available. We will be returning. The hosts are also the kindest people to communicate with. Quick responses and made themselves available at any time for any issues.

The property was very close to the beach and the beach was lovely. Conveniently close to a Publix and Walmart. Rooms and amenities were clean and tidy! The mattresses were comfortable and host responded quickly.

I like the Cottage ! Even no we had some women Tapping and looking in the window beside the door at around 12 or 12.30 in the morning! I don't no how long she had been looking in the window! All but that it was great!
Good location, all facilities worked well, no hassle handoff or exit, good basic beach cottage. It would help to have specific instructions with detergent, light switch for required use of the laundry facility. We enjoyed our stay very much!
The cottage had a nice layout, was decorated tastefully and was very clean. It had a very cute back patio although we didn't have time to enjoy it this trip. Having a code for the door was perfect, no hassle with getting a key.
We loved how beautifully designed the cottage is. It is very peaceful and well thought out. Every detail is perfect. We felt right at home and would love to stay at this cottage again the next time we travel to Oak Island!
Also our contact with the host, Mike was excellent. He made sure we had everything that we needed and responded quickly to any questions we had. He also left helpful notes in the cottage of things that we might like to do on the island, which turned out to be great suggestions!
The Cottage was so very cozy!! Very Retro!! LOVED it!! If you are looking modern this is probably not your place. This is a simple vacation home with a lot of character. It was perfect for our honeymoon!! Quiet and peaceful.
I LIKE THE MARSH WITH THE WATER CANAL TOUCHINFG THE BACK YARD.
MY WIFE AND I HAD HOURS OF FUN FISHING AND CRABBING. WE HAD 2 FRIED FISH DINNERS AND 2 CRAB MEALS WITH OUR CATCHES FROM THE CANAL.
I LIKE THE PICTURES HUNG THROUGHOUT THE COTTAGE AS WELL AS THE CERAMIC ITEMS. THE DECORATIONS GAVE A VERY NICE BEACHY FEELING TO THE COTTAGE.
