very quiet and very safe and secure neighborhood - we slept very comfortably and soundly. tastefully decorated.fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook and eat in comfort. great takeaway just a block away. the Venice canals are around the corner and magical to walk around. you can watch tv with your own Netflix or Amazon prime account - plus there is also live tv. the beach is only a 15 minute walk.

We were promptly greeted by the host when we arrived. He made sure we knew where everything was. He made himself available should we need anything or had any questions; but there was never a need to contact him as everything in and around the house was in perfect working order.
We were very happy that the house had a generous supply of basic products (e.g., paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo, body wash) to get us started until we could go shopping. The kitchen had an array of condiments which was so helpful when we prepared meals.
The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable. There were plenty of towels and the showers were refreshing with a consistent blast of water. The kitchen and living area was an ideal place for us to relax and strategize our plans for the day. There were large, flat screen TVs in every room with an excellent variety of viewing choices. My family enjoyed playing billards while waiting for others to get ready before going out for the day. The WiFi was easy to access.
The home is spacious and located in a great neighborhood close to shopping, restaurants, and freeways making it an easy commute to many of the sites we visited during our stay. It was centrally located to the beaches and the theme parks we visited.
The backyard with the pool and sitting areas felt just like a resort. We did so much sightseeing that we did not have the opportunity to make more use of the relaxing outside area.

The hotel itself was a gem, very charming. The location was fantastic, we moved easily to reach any destination and had private parking for a reasonable fee. The staff was amazing, kind and supportive, Michael went above and beyond providing us with amazing tips for attractions, restaurants, must see location unknown from foreign, we follow his guidance and we made really the best of the time we spent in los Angeles.
The room was cosy, spacious enough and full of natural light. We really loved our stay.

Fabulous greeting staff to go through property features and tour of the facilities. Location is beyond fabulous between Sunset and Santa Monica Bvds. Safe to walk around, the big one bedder property had a great secured car space and building has laundry room and pool/hot tub/sauna and gym. Bed very comfortable & was very quiet. Aircon in lounge area. Security guard on site all night. Great cafe at top of Palm Ave. All advertised photos true.

We only stayed for one night but we wish it had been longer. The Hollywood Downtowner was a very charming, cozy property located in a wonderful area of Hollywood and with affordable, secure parking too. The room itself was large, clean, and fit 3 people comfortably, would definitely return to stay again!
Lovely place and a very clever way to provide more affordable yet lovely accommodation in a madly expensive area! Kitchen and bathroom area are really lovely and the little cabin was cosy, homely and everything I needed! Shower was great and bed comfy. Nice lighting as well (small thing but adds to the homely feel I think)! Thank you!

This cottage is a dream. The decor was stunning and so cosy.Our host Milo could not have done more for us during our stay. He was extremely helpful and guided us on everything we needed. The location was perfect for travelling to santa monica and the road was extremely peaceful. The hot tub and pool were both magical especially in the evening. We really cannot thank Milo enough for the wonderful way he looked after us and made us feel so very welcome. A magical place to stay.
