Cottages are perfect for travelers who enjoy feeling cozy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages are spread across one or two floors – making them great for families or vacations with a little more privacy.
Location was great for walking. Basecamp Coffee (shop) just a few doors away. Lots of history close by! We took a great tour of Emmanuel Episcopal Church (a five minute walk - but need to schedule ahead). Other museums (Washington’s headquarters/cabin from Fort Cumberland and Allegany Museum very good!) and downtown Cumberland easy walks away.
Great views, quiet, nature sounds, loved sitting on porch enjoying nature, the view, deer. Loved the natural wood smell of cabin. Nice greeting card from hosts.
It has excellent views and is a nice cute country cabin. It was clean and makes for a nice and relaxing getaway. The owner provided very clear instructions for everything you needed to know about the property.
