I liked the simplicity of the home. It was like walking into a new cleaned home. It was uncluttered by excessive furnishings and of personal items of prior guests, yet comfortable. You will need to bring everything, to include spices, condiments, foil, napkins, kitchen towels, trash bags, etc. There are enough basic kitchen utensils, pots and pans for cooking. There is bedding and towels and extra blankets. Walking distance to the beach and various good restaurants.

The location was outstanding and it was a very short walk to the beach. The deck area and spa were brilliant and we spent a lot of time there. The rooms and communal areas were perfect for our group of 8 - everyone had their own space but could get together as necessary.

While they didn't advertise it, they did give us bags of ice upon request, which was nice, especially a beach site like this! Staff was friendly & rooms clean & affordable. Enjoyed the beachy vibe of the room, new & modern ammenties, but still with old style feel of the room. What a fun throw back

Avon motel and Avon cottages have always been my favorite place to stay on the island. Affordable accomdations, nothing fancy, but the most relaxed atmosphere and beachy vibe of any place I've stayed at.
The staff has always been friendly too.

The staff was very helpful and actually upgraded the rooms to a larger beach front at no additional charge. The cottages were very roomy but showing age and there was lots of trash on the surrounding grounds.
The location was great. Quiet street, own pier, easy walk to the beach. Beautiful beaches were in easy reach by car. We liked the fact that we had a house to ourselves, a fully equipped kitchen was very useful. Evenings on the sofa, reading a book or watching TV. Appreciated the washing machine as well as the dryer. We liked the hot tub.
Easy check in check out. Accommodating, super clean! It was a really cute and quaint motel. We usually travel to the mountains and it reminded me of a little mountain cabin at the beach. It's not the Ritz, but we liked that about this place. Perfect place to lay our heads before a full day of summer fun.
We always have a wonderful time at the Avon Cottages, it is in walking distance from most of the the local shops, short walk to the beach.. The sunsets are just as beautiful as the sunrises.. Had a great time!!
