Nuno is an exceptional host - super kind, extremely warm, and helpful! We absolutely loved him! He knows so much about many things; we learned a lot from him and received really helpful tips. Nuno pays great attention to detail, honoring his heritage in every aspect of his hospitality. Everything is planned meticulously, and even the soaps are handmade and from the region. The place is beautiful, super clean, and extremely comfortable. The house is also very warm due to the cork insulation. The views from the windows are great! Downstairs, there is a fireplace that Nuno keeps on, making it feel even cozier. I loved the fireplace, and because of that, Nuno kept it on in the morning so we could have breakfast while enjoying it! Thank you, Nuno! The breakfast was the best we could have - featuring all the typical and delicious food, traditional cheese, homemade jams, and fresh bread! We wish we had stayed longer, and we are definitely coming back again!

Absolutely perfect quite mountain retreat with amazing breakfast, incredible views, awesome hiking trails, and very friendly staff. I could easily spend a month here in the summer time. The warm bread in the morning was fantastic. Sitting around the fireplace at night listening to Christmas music will be remembered

Friendly and attentive staff. The entire hotel is clean, in good condition and well maintained. Good location for exploring the rest of Serra de Estrela as it saves you at least an hour’s worth of travel every day compared to towns in the valley.
Restaurant has a large enough menu to try something different every evening and all is delicious.
On a rainy day I just relaxed in the spa (sauna and small swimming pool)
Amazing location, the road is not that hard. All facilities. Lena the lady in charge was really sweet, she kept the fireplace until our arrival and she even made us a jam.
This hotel is a hidden gem in the serra da estrela region! I was impressed by their cleaning standards and the quietness of the place. It was super cozy and comfortable too. The food in the restaurant was outstanding. Breakfast was also great.
Everything! The property was fantastic, it was very comfortable including the bed. The bathroom was small but very cozy and had everything necessary and the room itself was amazing.
