Location was central to the area we wanted to explore. Animals were friendly. Hosts were able to communicate with my English and my very limited Portuguese. Photos and directions were perfect and the listing was exactly as described. Saw fire salamanders on our nighttime walk.

The host, João, kindly met us at the house to show us around and explained more about the area. He also left us some local welcome goodies. We stayed with our friends and had a great time cooking meals together and enjoying the yard. Lots of care has been taken with the flowers and trees and outside area is just beautiful! We used the pool a couple of times even though the weather wasn’t that agreeable. We just had to use it before leaving:) We took a walk into town and got some fresh bread and on the way back a neighbor gave us a big bag of fresh oranges. The house is an older home that has been updated and appointed with everything needed for a nice stay. All the beds are VERY comfortable! Plentiful seating and dishes/utensils. We already are planning our next visit. Thank you João for a great vacation!

Very charming old house. I like the old style decoration. And i slept good. Stuff and people how run this place was very friendly.

Beautiful home with lovely decorations. We feel like we are in a rustic country house, but at the same time, we have all the necessary things to cook, live, and sleep. Wonderful and very cozy place, very quiet.
I liked the decoration of the space. I loved the breakfast and the view from my bedroom. I could see some buildings, it's true, but also the landscape and mountains in the distance.
The bedroom was very clean and the beds were comfortable. I was there in the winter and did not feel cold. The bedroom is well equipped and it's cozy.
The location is great - close to where I needed to be.
The heaters were on when I arrived so the accommodation was warm and welcoming.
Everything I needed was in the room and as described, which made preparing for the self catering very easy.
