Absolutely beautiful house with the best facilities of any we’ve stayed in! The cinema and games rooms were a huge hit with the children (and big kids!!), as was the pool area with its gorgeous views. Good location for exploring the Douro valley. We stayed two nights with three people in late June at this location. It is an old water mill (i.e., really thick old walls), converted into a vacation home, with a very unique interior design using old water mill equipment, next to a river, adjacent to a hundreds of years old bridge. A very charming and spacious location for us, fully equipped, and for us a perfect location to explore this part of the Douro river. We wanted a more "isolated" place not directly in the Douro valley, and this is exactly what we got. Thanks to the host for the perfect check-in and support, and the additional background info about this unique place. Would we come back? For sure.

We had an exceptional stay! We were extremely satisfied with the quality of the accommodation and the hosts' availability. The house offers a spacious environment and is equipped with everything one might need. Everything was very clean, and in addition, we had the pleasure of finding some extra amenities, such as water, jams, tea, coffee, toast, and fresh fruits like lemons and oranges. The value for money is excellent, undoubtedly one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. The patio is very pleasant, perfect for relaxing, and the air conditioning was essential on the hotter days. Unique place, modern and we'll designed interior in a historic building. A couple that runs, loves and maintains that place. Maybe a handful of rooms. Cozy, unique, family feeling.
This this is one of the most charming houses I've ever been. It's located in the former mill house in the midst of the beautiful nature. The house is very well equipped with all needed appliances to prepare food and live autonomously. The bonus bottle wine was very good.
The view, day or night, it absolutely gorgeous and just takes all your problems away :)
The view, pool the food and the warm welcoming of the host made this a great stay! Amazing Portuguese food they have to offer however there are other alternatives if you want to go out. We felt so cosy that we had dinner there... homemade, authentically Portuguese and delicious!!
We loved it the first time and always come back here. Make sure you book your dinner in advance: by the fireplace, you will never forget. And you may pickup oranges to take home if you wish.
