We had a relaxing two-night escape at this boutique cozy cottage, tucked about 25 minutes off the main road and 40 minutes from Kundasang town. The drive is an adventure, winding through bumpy, hilly terrain with plenty of ups and downs. A 4x4 vehicle would definitely make the trip smoother and more reassuring.
The cottage is surrounded by a few others, and we saw some families staying nearby while we were there. As city folks, we're used to places that are gated and guarded, so we were a bit unsure at first. But honestly, it didn’t take long to feel comfortable—everyone pretty much kept to themselves, and it was really peaceful. As it is a small establishment, you would have a private stay.
We were really hoping to catch a glimpse of Mount Kinabalu, but the rainy and foggy weather had other plans, so we didn’t get that view after all

Everything! Since it is located quite on top of hills, we can get a picturesque view of mount kinabalu. Full view. As its name, the place is windy and the temperature can drop down to 61 degrees Farenheit (inside the room). If you don't mind to travel far & stay at quite on top of hills to look for a beautiful mountain view, this place is for you. I stayed in a cabin room. It looked small from the outside but inside, it was so comfortable, clean, tidy & the facilities provided were great. Equipped with water heater for shower, hair dryer, clean towels and beds, digital clock with temperature monitoring, free toothbrush with toothpaste, free drinking water and nescafe in sachets. It even has a balcony for you to enjoy the mountain view. My brother's family stayed in the suite room and it was equipped with 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, living room with tv and a kitchen. It was a last minute booking but everything went smooth from booking to check-in. Overall, for me, the stay was so worth it and beyond expectation. The staffs were friendly too. Breakfast was included too however, not encouraged for Muslims

The cabin mostly has everything that you need for a home it’s really comfortable stays.At 6pm already so cold and the air feels nice. I really have a good time for 2 days.
Possibly the most wonderful place we’ve stayed. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room (River lodge 2 bedrooms) was so relaxing, comfortable and large. The location is unbeatable - Poring Hot Springs entrance at your doorstep. The food at the restaurant was delicious and well priced. Cannot fault this property and would strongly recommend to others!
The rooms are clean and cozy. Location exactly in Ranau Town. Staff are very friendly and the instructions for the self check in are very detailed. There's no bad odour. Would love to stay here again next time.
We absolutely loved our accommodation - the Lodge was spacious, cosy, comfortable, with 2 large bedrooms, 2 large bathrooms, fantastic veranda and lovely balcony. The breakfast in the restaurant was delicious. We also loved the surroundings and specially hot springs tubes, where we had a bath after a hike.

Beautiful location with lovely views over surrounding tea fields against a backdrop of Mount Kilabalu. We stayed in a cosy cottage - the longhouse was a bit of a challenge for our spoiled old bones! Very reasonable price. Nice dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. Lovely gifts in the shop. Wonderfully cooler and less humid than lowland Sabah.
Reminds me of an english cabin. so cosy & well equipped, great for families. We played games, had coffees & hot choco, even dip our toes in the icy cold water stream down below. feels like a winter wonder land
