Cottages are perfect for travelers who enjoy feeling cozy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages are spread across one or two floors – making them great for families or vacations with a little more privacy.
This was probably the best place we stayed in Borneo. The view from the balcony was amazing with Mount Kinabalu in the background. The food is varied and very good. It was nice it was included. You could buy soft drinks and beer with the food. Our kids loved the pancake breakfast. All the staff are nice and it is well cleaned both in the room and around the facility. It is a cozy beach with hammocks and a few swings. During our time we went on a snorkelling trip, tried diving, rented a kayak and a stand up paddle board.
When we arrived early at 2pm the property has not been cleaned, but they instantly get it cleaned. The praying mat was great, but the qiblat direction was a bit wrong. Maybe need to install an AC at the living room. Overall it was cosy and comfortable stay.
It's a cosy home where you can sit by the garden, relax and read with Mt Kinabalu in the background on a good day. Both landlord and helper are super friendly and helpful. Location was close to town. Hot/cold water available and fridge for you to keep your food and beverage. Landlord even offered to send and pick us up from Bongol Hill!🫶
Nice place, away from everything. Reaching the lodge by boat was an adventure by itself.
Basic but nice bungalow with beautiful views.
We liked the shared area (the views!!) and we liked sharing meal time and chatting with other guests.

Due to the location, electricity is only available at certain time of the day but fans work all day and night.
The location is wonderful, secluded and clean beaches, beautiful sunsets, and only reachable by a short boat ride, so nicely cut-off from the "outside world". The bungalows have outdoor showers, which are nice. If you prefer fan vs. air cons and want to do a digital detox (no wifi provided, poor signal strength), this is the ideal place.
Out hostess was lovely and the staff very kind and accommodating. Overall a great experience for the entire family (incl grandparents and children).
We had some marvellous days here with our kids. Very cosy cabins with panorama. Even without going scuba diving some cool things to do (kayaking, snorkel tour, jungle walk, ...)
