Beautiful, modern apartment in an historic building. Very comfortable and quiet. The location is fantastic, near to all the main areas you would want to visit. Plenty of good restaurants and cafes nearby. I stayed for three nights and it was like a home from home! I was alone and it felt very safe place to be.

Nothing. We booked a room with air conditioning, upon arrival we were given a miniature room in the attic with an old fan. According to the hostess, the air conditioner had broken down the day before and she couldn't get a repairman. She said we could open the windows later at night... when we went to bed, it soon became clear that it was impossible to sleep in over 30 degree heat in a hot claustrophobic room. So we opened the windows, through which mosquitoes immediately flooded in, even though the accommodation claims to have mosquito nets. Perhaps it would have been better to sleep downstairs in the car... A very unpleasant experience if you have 12 hours of driving ahead of you. Sleepless and mosquito-bitten, we needed to leave early in the morning, the hostess flashed through the house and greeted with my husband who was loading the car, but then disappeared to parts unknown, despite us trying to find her around the house and the garden for about 15 minutes. So we left. I would like to say that this was the end of our unpleasant experience, but the climax was yet to come. About an hour into the journey, the accommodation number rang. I couldn't answer because I was driving. I later sent a message asking to communicate via text. I then received several very rude messages accusing us of not paying for the services - although the accommodation provider must be very aware that it is impossible to make a reservation at their establishment on the Booking site without a payment in advance. So I immediately sent the hosts proof of payment. But that obviously was not enough. This time, they didn't like the amount of payment (part of the total amount was paid by Booking). Again they attacked me, claiming that the payment was declined (even though they already had proof and the payment was debited from my account, so the problem obviously could not have been on our side). A real nightmare.

This is a unique and historic building in the almost-centre of Padua, situated right beside the old canals, the 'navigli' which you can follow to the city centre 10-15 mins away It has been restored to a high standard, with a comfortable large bed, good linen and an excellent bathroom equipped with more than enough shelving - very unusual!!
The manager was charming and helpful on arrival, offering good information about restaurants and transport.
Filippo is a very charming host. He provided suggestions and maps for things to see and do. The rooms are cozy and charming. Breakfast on the covered terrace was very nice. Parking on site.

The check in process is messy. The sauna is a bit a bit of a joke. The kitchen is lacking basic equipment (e.g. cutlery), and kitchen cabinet is about to fall down and kill someone.

The apartment was spacious, very quiet and very clean. We were 22 minutes walk away from the railway station that enabled us to travel easily into Venice. Padua, also, has a charming old town which is located very near the World Heritage listed Botanical Gardens.
Easy, contacless check in, the host speaks English.
The apartment was really nice and cozy, recently restored, in the city centre, close to restaurants and city seesights, 20 minutes walk to train station.
Parking available at Autorimessa Barbarigo, 5 minutes walk, 20€/day. You need to leave your keys in the car and they were not speaking English, but we did not have any problems.
A very charming hotel in front of St Anthony's Basílica.
We didn't know it was so close, so when we arrived, wow, it was an amazing surprise. Everything was great: the enormous cosy room, the big and clean bathroom, the big and comfortable bed, the spectacular view of the Basílica, the friendly and helpful staff and the excellent breakfast. All these made our 5 days stay in Padova unforgetable!!
We recommend this hotel and we will come again!
