Fantastic location, very central and close to the restaurants and lake. Photo's did not do the apartment justice, it had everything you needed and was very spacious. Lovely balcony. Hosts were fantastic at communicating, and they even left a beautiful welcome gift. Superb value for money. We opted to stay in a hotel on our final night in Stresa but wished we had booked this for a second evening as it was better than the more expensive hotel that we opted for on our final night!

Kind and helpful welcome when Google Maps led us astray. Room was spacious and clean but crowded with furniture. Absolutely fantastic lake view but the "Giardino" was overgrown and needed some serious TLC. Nice breakfast.

I particularily liked the kitchen, which had even more things than we could have imagined. The pillows on the beds were also excellent. The location of the house is also very nice since everything you need is very close by.

Owners were excellent and helped us at every turn if we needed something. Ballarate/Leggiuno has many little churches that are minutes away, and the house is very close to Laveno and Varese for shopping/tourism/lake fun.

Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
WHAT A GREAT PLACE - Family owned hotel & spa, on the lake. Human size. Sympathatic team. Restaurant is excellent and the wine card is just crazy ! The spa is brand new, nice swimming pool, with sauna, turkish bath, showers, transat with view on the lake. Nice room all with view on the lake and montain. Nice parking even for big car... WE DO RECOMMAND THAT PLACE !

Comp breakfast superb, and we ate there both nights, Chef and staff v knowledgeable and efficient and overall a v charming place to stay.. We booked a different hotel day 3 and wished we hadn't!

I really enjoyed staying at Marco's ! Marco's an incredible host that knows how to show you the local inheritage, his story and the story of the lake he lives near.
Passionated and dedicated, nothing was missing and he was both accomodating, insightful with suggestion and had such an exceptionnal home. For the price asked to pay, I have never seen such a quality. Truely a hidden gem which I hope always keeps its charm. I feel and know I was very lucky to stumble into a last minute free night.
The room was very clean and cosy!! The bathroom was all new and very clean! The bed was very confortable, we spent two nights there and it was wonderful, nice team Mateo is so nice! Very beautiful view and good breakfast in the morning. About 6 min of the ferry station very useful to visit the borromean islands on the lake. Fresh air by night and early in the morning, we've traveled in June and it was no need of climatisation, the fan in the room was largely enough! I really recommand La dama del Porto for a couple vacation.
Everyone at the hotel was charming, helpful and receptive to our needs and wishes. Our room (a lake-view suite) was magnificent. It was modern, spacious, beautifully appointed and had all the mod cons we could need. We were on a half-board basis and the food was delicious and soft and alcoholic drinks were included. We very much enjoyed our stay and would happily return
We enjoyed our stay. Calm and relaxin space to celebrate our anniversary with stunning view. I have to say that we were there in February, so wasn't high season. They have a restaurant in their property with high quality service and staff. If you're looking for a romantic get away, this is your spot!
