We loved our stay in Bellano. The property is right across the street from a small public beach and I loved that the property had chairs and some floaties that we could use there. I was excited to use the bicycles, but the road is quite busy so we opted to ride them early in the morning when there was less traffic.
We had a group of 8 and it was nice to be able to have rooms close together. The rooms were charming and clean. The property is wonderful--my favorite feature is the patio with a view. So beautiful! The town of Bellano is small. Things closed early and there weren't a lot of restaurant options, but we bought our own groceries and ate on the patio, which was so much better! Our stay here was so relaxing! We took the train from Bellano to Varenna and then took the ferry to Bellagio. We also visited the nearby waterfall orrido di bellano. It was nice, but nothing spectacular (compared to many we have seen.) There was a nearby cemetery that was fascinating to explore. We enjoyed visiting Bellagio and Varenna, but I think we enjoyed playing at the nearby beach just as much.
Valle de Mulini was a great find. Our check in was easy and we felt very well taken care of.
I would definitely stay here again!

The house was very big, fully equipped and very comfortable. The location was perfect, about 10 minutes walk to historical part of Porlezza, and right next to a carrefour with anything you might need.

Excellently appointed 2nd floor apartment in a central location with great views across the lake. There is a local store five minutes walk away and a ferry terminal two minutes away. A great base for a week exploring towns on the lake. If you like walking the Lake Como greenway start is easily reached via a C10 bus and there are other routes through charming small villages on the West of the lake. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our week at Royal Cadenabbia. We can also highly recommend the restaurant Belle Ile on the ground floor.
It was very cosy and the staff especially friendly. Great value for money in a cute village directly at the lake. Nice bars around and a lot the tourist hotspots (where I definitly wouldn't want to have my hotel!) are in shipping distance. The flair in Cadenabbia is great without the people-stress in other places. Would definitly come back!

Francesco and Mrs F were amazingly helpful when our vehicle broke down and it was holiday time in Como. There was nothing too difficult.
The view from the bedroom over the lake. The location. The romantic setting. The travelling around the lake by boat taxi, ferry and....when in Italy you must hire a Vespa...we had so much fun riding to Como, Belagio and on the ferry back.
