fantastic accommodation, extended our stay. The most beautiful room we have had in Sumatra. With the best beds! The accommodation was like a fairy land cottage. Location very close to town centre, but a bit of a walk up a hill. Didn't worry us as had scooters. Very handy to many local attractions. Can't emphasize how lovely the rooms were. Situated in the middle of very picturesque rice paddy fields.
Big room, nice bedroom, nice view, nice staff and easy late check-in at midnight as i need to travel from Padang to Bukittinggi around 3 hours. Near Jam Gadang. Breakfast is delicious and cozy atmosphere at the cafe.

We did a day tour with Roni by motorbike, learning how they make dadiah, visiting the market, coffee etc. It was one of the best days of our 3 month indonesia trip!!

Perfect stay in Bukkatinggi. Close to restaurants, markets and tourist sites. The owner is super nice and very helpful. He responds quickly to any question you have. I booked a budget room but he gave me an upgrade to a huge room with bathroom. The house is clean, cosy and comfortable.
The Padi Ecolodge is absolutely unique! The buildings are quite magical, with the walls leaning further out on each floor. The setting is also unique being in the middle of the rice fields but also just outside the city of Bukkitinggi. They organised the scooter for us which was delivered directly to us. Just be careful riding over the rice paddy walls! The woodwork of the buildings is amazing.
We love everything about the place. It feels very homey and the staff were excellent. It is an ecolodge so, a nice little walk to the property from the reception is always welcome. The location is really close to Bukit Tinggi city centre but you won't realise it as the lodge was so quiet. It is a true zen.
This is a nice property, a short walk from the town but be aware it is up a hill. Our bungalow was clean and lovely and we had hot water once my husband went round the back and figured out how to turn on the pump. The setting is nice in well kept gardens and a lovely view.
