This B and B was renovated in 2023 . It was simply perfect . It is rare for us to rate anything as a “10” as there are often small elements that could be improved, but in the case of Croft Cottage it is well deserved.
Accomodation is well thought out, warm , very comfortable . Truly delightful shower . Breakfast delicious from the porridge with cream to tasty haddock and i ine sausages .
May this abode flourish and if we are fortunate we may be able to stay again

Location is perfect. We were in the little cottage with a sun room. Loved to see the sheep roam on the neighbouring field. Ullapool is a 10min drive away. Very peaceful and quiet. Loved it.

The location of the western wagon - with the view across Little Loch Broom to Beinn Gobhlach - was spectacular and continually changing with the weather and time of day. It was possible to walk to the loch for a swim from the wagon. Nearby, there are beautiful white sandy beaches, like Mellon Udrigle, as well as a range of walks for all levels from low-level paths to more challenging Corbetts and Munro peaks.
The wagon itself was super cosy, with underfloor heating and a brilliant shower - so it was a great place to return to after a day exploring in the great outdoors during the depths of winter! We were even lucky enough to see aurora borealis in the starry sky at night when it was clear.
We loved our stay at Sounds of Durnamuck
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.

Very cozy, with Scottish products and decoration, and a fireplace which was on when we arrived.
Room and bathroom temperature was very good too and high quality soaps.

Fabulous hosts with welcoming cakes and drinks on arrival. Very informative too about the area and booking ahead for eating. Had our own self contained room which is dog friendly. Breakfast brought to our room which was good. Very cosy. Wet room was great. Didn’t use the sauna but a great addition.
Cosy, confertable, well equipt, beautiful view and the, whiskey and hot tub was amazing! Also got gifted a bottle of processco from the owners as we were own our honeymoon, it was incredibly thoughtful of them.

Phillip and Elizabeth, what to say, loveliest hosts you can imagine. Open for a chat, nothing is too much. All around great experience at a 10 min. walk from the Ullapool main streets. Had a fantastic room (bothy) with a separate entrance. The bedroom has a walk in room with desk and storage space. Then we had a sort of hallway with a comfy couch and table for breakfast and a nice bathroom. In winter there is a sauna attached. Every day there's fresh coffee/tea with homemade cake in the late afternoon. Would stay again for sure!
