So dirty you can’t see through the windows for cobwebs, so overgrown everywhere. They don’t answer the phone in check in and worse the fire alarm does not work!! Asked for preof and was forced out by the owner!
Tewkesbury was heaving with the music festival but this place was empty and now we know why! Instantly left as soon as we arrived ( not to mention the fact that it’s next to the waste water works and busy main road! ) Complained three times to booking .com. about getting a refund. The Owner looked completely unsurprised when we said we wouldn’t be staying but here I am getting asked to review !!! Please help me booking.com this place gives you a bad name!!!

A very warm welcome to this lovely cottage. The place is picturesque and it's fun to spend a night there. It is rather small though and meant for tiny people. Kitchen is minimally equipped; expect the cottage to be a rustic place. The main bed is comfortable and the proximity of the road was much less of a nuisance than I expected. The pub next door is top notch (closes at 10pm so no middle-of-the-night noise). The food is excellent as is the booze. Best place around for an evening meal/drink but be sure to check the closing days, though. It was a fun night all in all.

Beautifully decorated cottage in a great location in Cheltenham. Close to shops and restaurants, but very quiet. Wish we could have stayed longer! We will be back.

Alum House was perfect we love the house, very cosy, we had everything we needed under the roof of this lovely little gem we literally cannot wait to go back ( we love Tewksbury ) we have been visiting for many years Alum House will be our go to house, we normally stay in a hotel I am so glad to have found this wonderful little upside down cottage just 10 mins walk into Tewksbury. It was very beautiful homely and cosy exactly what we needed. Great location close to restaurants walking distance. The cottage was very clean and smelled nice from the moment we got in which was a plus for me. We felt it caters for all your needs iron, Wi-Fi, throws on the sofa etc
Nice location not far from town centre. Cottage had parking and nice original features. Was warm and cosy due to the range in the dining area. Bedrooms were a good size and bedding nice and comfortable. Shower nice and hot.
Beautiful location, out in the country but also close to town. Nice walk to town centre. Lovely building, spacious, stylish decor, well maintained, well staffed. (Staff were lovely) Great food. Comfortable room esp the bed. The terrace was a nice touch. Good leisure facilities, pool, steam room, hot tub, sauna. Plus on site golf course at reasonable prices. Great views.
