Diana and Chris are wonderful and friendly hosts, I felt very at ease as a guest in their home. Very homely cottage; beautifully decorated. Breakfast was absolutely delicious continental spread with fresh organic fruit salad made lovingly by Diana, yoghurt, cereals, juices, rye sourdough and spreads. Wide selection of teas and coffee that you can help yourself to. Easy drive into Bridgwater. Some nice country pubs around.

An excellent spacious and warm property with everything you could need for a stay away from home. A lovely welcome from Karen and Martin too, plus some nice scones with jam & cream which was much appreciated. We were also lucky that the barn owl returned to its nest, so we could watch it on the owl-cam!

Due to our late arrival we did not have the opportunity to explore the local amenities.

We’ve stayed twice , visiting family for the weekend and have found both 1bed cottages really good. The latest , Under the Beech Tree is the smaller of the two but just as good for a couple of nights. The bed is large and really comfy like the other one and it’s very clean and comfortable. We’ll be back as having self catering makes our life so much easier.
The cottage is set in beautiful countryside. Only recently converted it is clean and bright with a private outside area. The cottage has everything you need and the shower is fantastic. Parking for two cars was a bonus. Communication with the owners prior to our stay was great and they provided detailed directions.
The cottage was situated in the most gorgeous garden with a view over the fields. It was great to be able to explore the local countryside and be in such close distance to Taunton. The beds were really comfy and the kitchen and bathroom were well equipped and modern. The hosts kindly let us have a late check out to facilitate the remote work of my friend
The property is in an ideal location. It is in walking distance from the train station, the city centre and Nuffield hospital (we came to Taunton as I had surgery there). This was ideal as we flew over and didn’t have a car.
The house is spacious, warm, cosy and nicely decorated. The fireplace and kitchen were both highlights of this property.
