Beautiful hotel in lovely surroundings the drive up to the hotel is impressive even in the winter.
Our room was wonderful we stayed in a master double room in a corner room with double aspect windows looking out the front and side of the hotel towards the lake. The facilities in the room were excellent and the complimentary honey flapjack was delightful.
The library room next door to the bar was lovely and cozy with the fire on and we enjoyed our afternoon and post dinner drinks in there. Our evening meal was lovely and there was a good wine list to complement your chosen food.
The complimentary turn down service was lovely as they set out tea cups with relaxing herbal teas suitable for bedtime.
The staff were courteous, friendly and provided an excellent level of service on a par with 5 star hotels.
The breakfast was excellent and we sat at a table near the window with a lovely view out over the rear grounds of the hotel.
It was a perfect relaxing overnight stay for me and my husband which is what we both so needed and we will definitely be returning.
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
Excellent value for money. The lady on reception was helping a van driver, who was also staying, to sort out his parking arrangements. She showed us to reception and started checking us in. She asked about our plans for the evening, then gave us a quieter room away from the function happening that night as we weren't going out. The room was clean and cosy.
The lodge has been built and furnished to a very high standard. Not your standard holiday rental. Check-in instructions were clear, facilities and supplies were excellent.
Totally peaceful and serene setting. The cabin had everything we needed. The kitchenette was well equipped. The shower room was modern and clean. The bed was very comfortable. We can’t wait for an excuse to return.
Modern cabin, very clean & well equipped for the size. Comfy sofa, comfy bed, outside seating for when the weather is good, and little touches like chocolate and tea. A quiet and private location in the owner's back garden.
