Hayloft was probably in the most beautiful location I have ever stayed in. I love the Southwest of England and the setting of Hayloft showed the beauty of this region perfectly. I wish that I had brought an OS map with me because the walks were fantastic and there were footpath signs left, right and centre when we walked up the hill. We had a little private garden, which was charming. There was a walk mown into a nearby meadow too. The cottage was comfortable and very clean. My bedsheets were very soft and I slept like a top.

The cottage was peaceful, clean and comfortable.The only criticism being that it would have been nice to have a small selection of books and DVDs on offer for guests.(There are a few charity shops in Sidmouth where guests could buy these).
It wasn't a big deal though. :)
I would recommend Cider Cottage to families. It is nicely furnished and very cosy.
Great cottage. Lovely quiet location. Very clean and had everything we needed. Beds really comfortable and rooms very cosy and warm. Linda was very helpful when we asked questions. I would stay again.

A variety of foods were presented buffet style at breakfast. A cooked breakfast could also be ordered and was brought to the table. The dining room was spacious and delightfully decorated with views out to the garden and surrounding countryside. Everywhere was beautifully decorated and gave a comfortable and relaxed feel. The hotel is in a wonderful location.
We were upgraded to The Diary one of the self catering cottages as it provided a cooler room during the heatwave.
