Stayed as a family over New Year. This is a premier property in Sandown, one that I have wanted to stay in for a while and probably the best accommodation available in the area, which goes someway to justifying the premium price. The space in this property is endless; set over four floors, -1 is a garage with table football and a rear entrance leading to drive with parking space for two cars; the ground floor has three bedrooms, one with ensuite, a family bathroom (with a bath) and a utility room - plus good size space for coats and shoes by the front door- which opens directly onto Culver Parade, which is across from the beautiful sandy beach. The first floor contains an open plan kitchen that was equipped with all necessity items, inclusive of Prosecco (left for us on arrival) and some milk and tea making facilities - a nice touch after our ferry journey. On this floor there are balconies front and back, to the front overlooking culver down cliffs, the Sandown pier and of course the endless beach. The rear balcony has views of the hills. On the second floor, a further two bedrooms- one was ensuite; and another bathroom also situated on this floor - four bathrooms in total throughout the house. The balcony overlooking the sea at the front of the property, off of the bedroom, was a sun trap (even over New Year); and the balcony at the rear was an elevated view of the hills. All in all, the property spans approx 2,000 sq ft area, providing endless space, and, although pricey, the views, comfort and superb facilities make this a must stay. Island Holiday Company, who manage the property, did a fabulous job in ensuring it was meticulously clean and fridge stocked with the minimum essentials for an arrival cuppa. Would highly recommend.

The house was very high tech and beautiful, the hot tub and sauna were amazing. When we had a problem assistance arrived very quickly and Ken was very helpful
I needed a dog friendly hotel and Harrow lodge exceeded my expectations. There was a dog friendly lounge to eat my breakfast in and Lauren and Rob were so helpful and looked after me and my dog. This is the best dog friendly hotel I've ever stayed in. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful.
My room was cosy , I had a lovely walk in shower and toilet ensuite.
The Hotel is a lovely Country Manor with the decor to match. The rooms were spacious and well maintained.
The hotel breakfast was superb and the servers, very attentive.
Being able to eat at the sister hotel restaurant was lovely and the cream tea/savory tea was superb, as were the evening meals. We were also able to use the leisure facilities of the sister hotel, eg. pool, hot tub and sauna.
There was a lounge stocked with board games, so great to access on a wet February day.
Immaculate Self catering Apartment with every facility and complimentary tea coffee snacks etc. Short walk to both the sea front and the village. The hot tub in the family apartment is a popular addition even in winter and complimentary access to the nearby hotel and pool.
After reading some bad reviews we were a little concerned. But our stay was brilliant. Its an old cottage but inside was comfy cosy and very welcoming.
The kitchen had everything needed to prepare your own food. Living room was cosy. with some lovely books on the bookshelf and jigsaws in the cupboard.
Our kids loved the 3 beds in one room.

Just a 5 min drive to Amazon World and only a short drive to Shanklin.
The grounds were beautiful with a wonderful outlook across the sea and flowers, lily ponds, hot tubs and swimming pools everywhere. The staff were all very friendly and charming and our room was spotless and the beds were very comfortable.
Chine Side is set in the quaint old part of Shanklin, with thatched cottages and lovely stone houses. Our stay was perfect, from the friendly greeting by our host John to our lovely room with views of the amazing gardens. Breakfast served in the elegant dining room with fresh coffee, fruits, toast and other delicious treats. There is a comfortable lounge with a balcony overlooking the gardens where you can relax after a long day exploring this amazing island.
Location is excellent just 5 mins from the beach and the pool is a lovely addition . Owners are lovely people very welcoming , and surprised us with a complimentary cream tea! Our room was comfortable and quiet. If u looking for boutique modern interiors then this homely but charming hotel may not be to your taste , but if simple and clean and cosy is our vibe then u will have a very pleasant stay.
Communication with the staff was very good and friendly. Somerton Lodge is a charming old house which has kept some of its old features. John and his wife are very welcoming and always here to help. The place was nicely decorated, very clean and has cosy corners to read, play and relax.
