Location was perfect for staying the night before we flew from Manchester Airport and was in walking distance of Hickory’s for our evening meal- secure entry via electric gates and marked parking space so we knew our car was safe. The cottage was bigger than we expected and the bed super comfy. Coffee/tea and milk were left by host and the shower was excellent- we had an early flight so were able to lock up and leave without disturbing anyone- we’d highly recommend this and will hopefully stay again

Karen and her husband (sorry forgot name!) were great hosts, very accommodating of our needs and extremely flexible when I was trying to get the cyclists off before my delicious breakfast.
We would definitely return if in the area.

Very welcoming and helpful hosts.
Easy to find and onsite parking was a bonus.
Breakfast was excellent - good choice of fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurts, oatcakes and cooked breakfast.
Peaceful setting as accommodation is set back from the road.
Bus stop just outside to head into town.
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
With an Aga in the kitchen and the wood burning stove in the living room, it was so cozy. The huge oak beams adding character and charm to the Horner’s.
Claire, the host was very helpful
