Location wonderful - in the middle of an arts and crafts purpose-built circular village constructed in the early part of the last century for foresters. A few steps outside the front door and you're in the sensual forrest.
Wonderfully equipped and warm. You'll need to use the kitchen, as there are no shops and the only pub (about a mile away) was closed when we visited. This isn't a hardship, though - it adds to the wonderful feeling of seclusion and isolation.

beautiful surroundings. apt very clean and spacious.
Beautiful location, lovely lodge, clean and private. Hot tub was lovely and checked everyday. Well kept all around us. Kitchen was well equipped with a good size fridge freezer. Welcome pack was handy for guidance and ideas. Nearby electric car charge point at the Creebridge filling station. We got cracking weather and dandered into town over the bridge a few times to grab ice cream at the Brigend , absolute bargain of a place for light bites.
Location was lovely, lodge was clean and cosy, hot tub was definately hot!! Far enough away from the other lodges to have some privacy, not noisy. The town of Newton Stewart is within walking distance, so it was nice not to have to use the car every day.
The lodge was fully equipped with quality items. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms and kitchen spotless and the layout and furnishings of the lodge made it feel spacious, even thought there were 7 adults in our party. The hot tub was a hit too, and ready to use as soon as we arrived. We did have an issue with the heating on arrival, but this was attended to within minutes of ringing reception, and we were soon cozy and warm.
Beautiful terraced cottage in heart of Scotlands Booktown with everything considered for a very comfortable stay. Self catering 3 bedroom property with bright and airy summer house and lawned garden with trees to the back of the house. Bath and shower and all mod cons. Highly recommend if you like Wigtown and nearby attractions.
Lovely self catering cottage just south of Newton Stewart. The countryside on your doorstep but close to the village for facilities. The cottage is lovely and comfortable and provides all you need. Great place and would highly recommend.
