We loved how this property felt like a home, there was everything we could need and more! All the little details thought of and a very warm welcome. Kitchen high tech but easy to use. Great big TV. Netflix already set up which was great. Shower was very nice and great pressure and temp.

Very comfortable little cottage with all the facilities you need for short or longer stays. A lot of attention to detail and focus on guest comfort. Very comfy beds, a good shower and bathroom facilities. There was a nice little information pack near the front door, put together by the hosts. Books, games, Xbox and DVDs should you want to spend time relaxing at the property. Food for breakfast was provided such as bread, eggs, preserves, tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, plus a Nespresso machine with pods.
The host sent great instructions and pictures the day before on how to find the place and where to park. We have stayed at a number of places over the years and have to say this is the best. I was genuinely gutted we were only there for one night.

The Lodge itself was fully equipped with everything you could possibly want to make it a permanent home, the bed was so comfortable we wanted to take it home, the views were splendid of the hills and and estuary right below, Ian is also a well known artist and his paintings in the Lodge were absolutely amazing, and last of all Ian and Sharon were amazing hosts.

A lovely break in this charming cottage in the centre of Teignmouth.
Very comfortable and clean and had everything we needed for a family of 4 plus baby and dogs.
Wine, milk and chocolate for us on arrival was a very welcome touch.
Great communication with owner beforehand.
Parking was so easy and free for one car, parked in car park across the road on arrival then moved to longstay with a 2 minute walk back.
Enjoyed a couple of great meals in Ye Olde Jolly Sailor, about 5 minutes walk.
The pier was great fun, a proper old fashioned seaside pier and had some lovely walks along the seafront with the waves lapping up to the top of the sea wall, very calming.
The glass cafe/restaurant on the seafront was very good for bacon baps and hot chocolates in the morning and was very pleased to find they had a lift for the pushchair after seeing the steps up to it.
I would highly recommend Mermaid Cottage to everyone, homely and welcoming and although is right in the centre with everything within easy reach it is very quiet as down a little mews so no passing traffic or people.

Charming character Cottage with warm cosy interior. Location is a tad exasperating for those not used to narrow Devon country roads, light on passing spaces, however the valley view is very impressive. Victoria's hosting is excellent and she cooks a fantastic breakfast. If only our itinerary allowed we would have sampled her Italian cuisine, very much our loss I don't doubt. She was very helpful on places to visit and how to make the most of the local area.
Such a sweet and quirky stay in a very traditional farmhouse. We were greeted and encouraged to feel at home.
Our room overlooked a beautiful cottage garden, which guests are encouraged to enjoy.
Lovely touches were left for our enjoyment, including fresh fruit, cake, a generous assortment of cereals and beverages , farmhouse bread, and butter and delicious local honey .
We chatted with some of the family and other guests, who were also having a very enjoyable stay.

I highly recommend this converted barn property where I stayed during Christmas. It was excellent, featuring cozy fireplaces, a great play area for kids, and a variety of indoor games. The bedrooms offered outstanding views of the farm, and the family-sized pool was warm and inviting. Just a short 10-minute drive from Torquay, the owner's thoughtful Christmas decorations added a festive touch.
Beautiful property, warm and cosy. Very clean. Had everything required at the cottage including salt, pepper, washing up liquid, tea towel. (Basic things I usually forget but make all the difference).

Jeff welcomed us on arrival, explained heating ect.. which was reassuring. Also tried their best to accommodate a personal request.
Great facilities for the children. Play barn was great, again very clean. Swimming pool was warm and absolutely spotless!

The farm is located in the nationalpark and we were surrounded by nature. The house is very pretty, espacially the garden and shows a long history of tradiotion with photos on the wall. When we arrived a fire burned in the cozy fireplace in the lounge.
