The lodge was super clean. It had everything we needed for our three night stay. It was cosy and comfortable. It felt super private as you are enclosed by a fence all the way around. Lovely place, exactly what we were looking for and needed. Clean, specious, quiet. Watching sheep from the bedroom window was an added bonus.

The cottage was beautiful as was the surrounding countryside. Plenty to do nearby. The accommodation was lovely and warm despite being chilly outside (February ). The cottage had everything we needed and more. Lots of lovely touches. The photos do not do the cottage justice. Thank you and we will be back.
Arden House Hotel is a delightful and charming small country house hotel. Very warm welcome and extremely lovely staff. My room was great, really attractive as well as comfortable. I had chicken in leek sauce in the restaurant for my dinner and it was delicious. I thought it was brilliant value for money and would highly recommend Arden House.
We had a wonderful stay at the cottage for four days. Ian and Louise have ensured that the cottage has everything you need, is cosy, and very comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the extra sitting area on the top floor (attic) with views of the castle and tollbooth.
Self catering, good location and easy to get to local services and attractions, very quiet location all of which we wanted. Never met our hosts but they provided a contact number if needed which was fine. Barcloy is a working farm but we were never disturbed or inconvenienced likewise the neighbouring cottage was occupied but again very quiet and no issues. Nice garden and views.
The location of The Blue door was perfect, right in the heart of Kirkcudbright close to all the shops, cafes and restaurants.
It is a very cosy and quaint cottage filled with Arts and Crafts furniture. It had everything we needed for our stay and was very comfortable and clean.
We loved its historical context with the artist Jessie M King.
The little garden at the end of the close was charming to sit in with our morning coffee and allowed our dog to stretch her legs.
This "cosy flat" covered all the bases for us. Location is excellent to meander around this pretty harbour town with it's wonderful galleries and artisan shops and to explore the beautiful countryside. It caters for couples on their own or with children, dogs. Safety locks, plug covers etc, extras provided equipment for children and dogs with thoughtful additions for all. The apt is spotless. We can't thank the hosts enough for their shown consideration to those choosing this accommodation.

Haven Cottage is a lovely cottage situated very conveniently for the town centre of Kirkcudbright. Exceptionally clean. Very cosy and comfortable. Delicious homemade lemon drizzle cake along with other goodies provided on arrival. Plenty to see and explore within the area.
