We stayed in the stables and they had truly thought of everything you might need, like hand soap , pint glasses, plenty of extra tea towels, cuos and plates, salt and pepper and a personal thanks for the little flask of milk for my coffee when i arrived very thirsty! Basically everything we usually end up having to take or buy. The accommodation was beautifully presented and views cracking. Beds were comfortable (bit on the small side for me and my large husband 🤣 we are used to a super king) the property was warm and cosy and lots of information available for how everything worked and where is good to visit. Also plenty of parking available. Will definitely be back in the future.

The cottage was so clean and pretty. One of the best I’ve stayed in. The little extra touches like butter, milk, bread, coffee made such a difference. We even had a bottle of fizz.
This was a surprise getaway to celebrate my husband’s birthday in Burford and it was wonderful. Thank you.

The location is perfect, very quiet. My evening meal which was delivered to my room was excellent. One of the best burger and chips i have had. Also able to do custard instead of ice cream with my sticky toffee pudding.
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
It was warm, cosy and comfortable. The hot tub was perfect! It was private and quiet, good to relax and unwind. The host very kindly provided a hamper full of treats which was a lovely gesture and made us feel very welcome.
Very cosy, had everything you need for a quiet getaway as a couple. Hot tub was lovely and it was just chilli enough for us to fire up the log burner which made for a very cosy evening.
Everything! We had a lovely warm welcome from the host Katy, a lovely basket of provisions, a steaming hot tub and a cosy comfortable bed. Everything was fresh and clean and we only wished we could stay longer!
We had the loveliest time staying at The Trout. It was everything we wanted in a countryside escape and more - the pub had excellent food and great beers, the historical building and surrounding area were gorgeous, the room was cosy and comfortable, and breakfast was amazing. What really made our stay here extra special though was the generosity and warmth of the management. The team here truly understands hospitality and will make you feel not just welcome, but at home. Highly recommended!
The lodge was in a beautiful and quiet rural location, close to some great country walks. The owners were fantastic and made the stay very comfortable. The lodge itself was very comfy and cosy, all the facilities were exceptionally clean and well set out. The hot tub was a welcomed addition as well and easy to use. On top of this the owners left freshly made bread for us alongside fresh milk, jam and butter. These touches were particularly special. Would throughly recommend the lodge and hope to be back.
