The location was great. Short walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants. Everything was very close by.

Loved the cabin and the breakfast room. The pub area is cozy and well stocked. It's in a great location for exploring the countryside and at the same time quiet and relaxing. We didn't get the chance to sit on the deck and watch the sun set, so we will have to do that next time.
We had such a wonderful time at Bittles Cottage, everything was so homely and cosy, ideal for an Autumn stay. The village is very pretty and feels very rural however it is well connected and well placed for exploring countryside and coast. The cottage itself is like stepping back in time which was exactly what we hoped for however there is everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The beds were so comfy too! The cottage is well equipped with everything you might need and the communication with the host was excellent.
The cabin was beautifully decorated and really cosy. it had all the basics like cooking oil, milk for a tea on arrival, tupplewares, a brilliant BBQ and a stunning hot tub. Its well situated for walking to the coast and we got to Durdle Door and back in a day via The Smugglers inn for dinner. It was amazing. we loved the hammock and the fire pit for ghost stories.

A lovely remote location too … great if you like walking, hiking, geocaching or running as surrounded by well maintained footpaths and beautiful countryside! Also only a few miles from Dorchester and Weymouth.
Fern cottage is a delightful cottage set in the middle of the Dorset countryside, in the small village of Piddletrenthind, the owner is a charming lady with a story or two to tell, my stay there was a welcome break from travelling on the raod, comfortable, quite and a good nights sleep, breakfast was cooked to order and a wide chose to choose from, I would recommend Fern cottage for an over night stay or for longer if you have the time, the welcome is warm and friendly.
I booked at the last minute due to a change of plans and am so glad that Caroline had a room available. Her B&B is in a charming village with lovely walks nearby and a great thatched gastro pub not far away. Caroline was good company and it was more like visiting a friend. Yes, the decor is a bit dated but the cottage garden, comfortable bed, Caroline's friendly intelligent personality, and her marvellous breakfast more than made up for that.
What a warm welcome from the charming owner, Caroline. This was a late notice booking for just one night but we were made to feel at home in this comfortable, cosy cottage. Breakfast was outstanding.
Excellent value for money and we shall certainly book here again when we're in the area.
