Charming cottage within farmhouse, hotel in Chepstow

Situated 41 km from Cabot Circus, 42 km from Bristol Temple Meads Station and 43 km from Bristol Cathedral, Charming cottage within farmhouse provides accommodation set in Monmouth.

Cosy cottage in a very peaceful location in a forested area. Large bathroom with hot shower and bath. Bed reasonably comfortable. We walked to Trellech and Tintern from the cottage with the aid of a very useful OS map provided by the owner. The autumn colours en route were a wonderful sight. Trellech has a very friendly village pub and the Abbey Mill in Tintern serves lovely coffee and cakes. Both Monmouth and Chepstow are within easy reach by car.

A lot of thought was put into a guest staying at Welsh Gate, There was a lovely welcome pack waiting for us. It is cosy and romantic self catering property. The large sofa in front of log burner was extremely comfortable. Ipod docking station and selection of DVD's. Wifi and freeview TV. Modern kitchen. and you have access to the tower when wearing Flat shoes no heels. We found the information folder very helpful, full of useful tips. The Millers arms (10 min walk) does lovely food with friendly helpful staff.

Cecile's Cottage at Cefn Tilla Court, Usk is set in Usk, 43 km from University of South Wales - Cardiff Campus, 43 km from Motorpoint Arena Cardiff, as well as 43 km from Cardiff University.

this cottage met all our needs privacy, easy to find, peaceful, cosy - the log fire was delightful and the hot tub worth paying the extra fee for the use (we understand the cost on electricity these days) The setting is so beautiful for a leisurely walk and we were allowed to take our small jack russell who enjoyed the walks and the warmth of the cottage.

The Paws and Wander Hideaway, hotel in Chepstow

Boasting garden views, The Paws and Wander Hideaway is situated in Mitchel Troy, around 50 km from Cabot Circus.

A gem of a place in the Welsh countryside. Quiet and peaceful and a stunning little conversion. Monmouth only a few miles down the road, a great pub within walking distance and a local gin distillery which is definitely worth a visit. The property was warm, smart, comfortable and the owners went out of their way to add the little extras such as dog treats, dog towells and a dog bed. Our pack has never been so chilled. Enclosed garden is enclosed which was great for us and just down the road, if you have a reactive dog, there are secure dogs fields. Lots to explore in the local area. We could not have asked for a better place to stay.

We had a couple of facility issues when we arrived but Jo couldn't have been more charming and resolved very quickly. The cottage is very spacious inside and tastefully decorated and yet with a cosy feel. The terrace is set off from the owners garden and lovely suntrap, but quite steep steps, so be mindful if small children. I also noticed a BBQ not that we used it but great to know for another time. Stunning walks in the area and the Rising Sun is lovely for Sunday lunch - delicious.

Loved the leisure center that was open from early morning until 10 pm. The staff was friendly and smiley happy to help. The golf course was nice to be around and the main building was a heritage castle style that was very nice to live in. There were some renovated cottages around there but I didn't book them :(
