no information about local walks but we had coffee at the Riverside Cafe and lunch in the High Street in Burford, which was very nice. we had a wander around Carterton too, which was ok too. we were unlucky with the month we visited because the animal sanctuary was closed for winter, as were other interesting places to see.

The location is stunning and the rooms are beautiful
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
We thought that Swallows Nest was lovely. Downstairs was very spacious and the bedroom was really cosy. The property was really clean, had all the facilities we needed and we were really impressed. Having on site parking was a real bonus. The owners live across the road and were lovely and helpful. They gave us several recommendations of places to eat and the ones we tried were excellent. The location is perfect and was just a 5 minute walk to Arlington Row.

The location was great, just a few minutes' walk from Bibury and Arlington Row. The breakfast was good, with three options to choose from and a small buffet. We got an upgrade to the cottage, which came with a kitchen, and that was practical with a small child.

Beautiful location , parking right next to the cottage. Lovely large cottage and hot tub, really clean and well equipped. Lovely staff, very easy check in and check out. Perfect.
Stayed in one of the lovely cottages. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Very dog friendly. Treats for humans and dogs at the front desk! A sausage for breakfast for the dog as well as a dog bed and food and water bowls.
Absolutely loved the whooper cottage, it was perfect. Hot tub was amazing! Staff were friendly. Had such a lovely weekend, will definitely be returning.
