Breakfast was good and leisurely. We were able to stay until 10am which allowed time for a short walk in the striking thatched cottage village and surrounding countryside with a beautiful chalk stream
Quaint cottage, comfy rooms with countryside views. the owners were extremely friendly and helpful and able to accommodate my late arrival and last minute breakfast.

The lodge was cosy and comfortable. we would not usually stay in studio type accommodation but this was well presented and thought out with good facilities in the compact space. The location is great, very quiet, right by the river and the hosts are welcoming and friendly.
It’s an historical building, like a mini maze in places but very much in keeping. The facilities are there tho don’t expect sensaround tvs, hot tubs, saunas, pools and gyms. Instead a homely, quiet establishment with friendly staff, excellent breakfasts and a pub.hotel bar with a decent menu, right in the heart of town.
Lovely staff especially in the restaurant/pub. Always smiley and friendly.

We didn't like our first room (too noisy right above the restaurant) and we were offered a new, much better room straight away - very accommodating!
In I stayed at Staggs Cottage for one night as I was visiting nearby relatives in Andover. I cannot fault my stay. Everything was spotless and my room was very cosy with stunning views over the countryside. Jane cooked the most amazing breakfast in the morning and nothing was too much trouble. Can't recommend enough!
