It has amazing views and it can be a quiet place!
I say "it can be" because a car parked in the street that runs alongside the house and they stayed chatting with very loud music until late at night. It's good to know it's not an isolated castle.

Cottages are perfect for travelers who enjoy feeling cozy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages are spread across one or two floors – making them great for families or vacations with a little more privacy.
The home was spotlessly clean. It is something super nice, when you travel with small kids. Air-conditioning was present in all rooms. The town is small and cosy. It has restaurants, shops and other stuff for shorter or longer stays. And close by the highway.
Amazing. Some comments left talk about ‘finishes’ and being very rustic - people, these, as advertised, are RUSTIC CABINS. The place is a gem. Yes, some tweaks can be made, broom and towel mat, but the setting, the detail of the cabins, the amazing pellet heaters, the 100% cotton sheets (or so they seem). Easy check in, a wee bit difficult to find as lack of signage, but not a big issue. I love this place as a weekend getaway and that it’s a work in progress!
Our room was so cozy and comfortable, with a little kitchenette, a lovely loft bedroom, a great shower, and plenty of space. The free breakfast was really nice, too.
Lovely clean Lodges, gated property so great if you have a trailer like we did.. very modern and lovely restaurant on the premises. … perfect stop over super close to motorway ( 2 minutes away )
We loved the owner Nicholas ,such a nice man .It's a family business and it feels like it . The lodges were lovely and a wee walk over to his bar and restaurant for a lovely meal . used by the locals so that tells you a lot .We will be back to stay as soon as possible. Thanks Nicholas!
The hotel was very quiet when we were there which was great, but this may depend on the season. The breakfast was really great, great food, very relaxed, great service. The staff that worked there were really friendly, was a pleasure chatting to them.
Room was spacious and nicely furnished, great facilities. Nice big fireplace which we made use of both nights we were there.
Overall, great and we will return soon.
Hotel Sara de Ur was a perfect place for a short visit to Madrid countryside. Nice (BIG) room, very friendly staff. The small town of La Cabrera has many restaurants and is welcoming, just 40 minutes from the airport. Own car is definitely good to have here, hotel has free safe parking. Breakfast was prepared on order and was ok, not spectacular. We stayed here in October so pool was closed but would propably be very nice in the summer months. We drove around in the area and hiking trails in the NP and around Rascafria are easily accessible.
Mountain side location was beautiful and buildings charming. Swimming pool area was probably the best part of the facilities. We had to leave early and skip the included breakfast so no idea about that.
Close Madrid T4 so this is a very good option for early departures or late arrivals.
