Me and my boyfriend stayed at this bed and breakfast for a week. We had an amazing stay. It is close to Horsens (10 minute drive) but it is also far enough away that you cant hear any of the cars or anything from the city. The views out of the windows in the room were amazing. The woman that runs the place was very sweet to us and made an amazing breakfast every morning. The breakfast was very large and very diverse. The woman had a very sweet dog that me and my boyfriend found very cute and helpful. He is very well trained and doesnt go to the rooms and leads you to the breakfast room and everything (very sweet). There were also nice chickens. The beds were good and the room was nice and big.

The setting is wonderful, directly on the lake. The cabins are comfortable, cosy and had everything we need. The staff were lovely. This was a perfect stay after the more hectic pace of Copenhagen.
The apartment is exceptionally clean, comfortable and beautifully furnished with gorgeous views across the fields towards the lake. It has everything you need for a rural self catering break. The extra touches of fresh flowers and coffee capsules etc were so appreciated. There was an easy check in and check out with our hostess. We felt totally relaxed and at home and enjoyed every minute of our stay.

We didn’t try the breakfast, as we were in a self-catering cabin. The location is fantastic! It is off the beaten track, right on the lake, surrounded by hiking trails, peaceful and geared for an active vacation. The staff is very accommodating. We would definitely stay here again for a longer period of time.
Great small and cosy rooms close to the Skanderborg Lake. It is a hostel i.e. not a hotel, so it is kind of selfservice, but in the good way. You can buy coffee, ice-cream and snacks in the reception. A great place to relax and enjoy beautiful views and a quite afternoon and evening far away from traffic.
Cosy cottage in a picturesque small village not far from Skanderborg. Lovely location, peaceful and quiet. Nice walk down to the nearby lake. All in all a great place to stay.
My partner and I stayed here for the first time in 2021. It was during corona times and we very much needed a change of scenery.
2 years later, we have come back.
Aase and her husband are super kind and attentive. I’d say it’s the perfect winter weekend getaway. At night, the little wooden cottages are lit up and it’s super cozy. If you are looking for relaxing, spend quality time with you significant other (or with yourself), escape the city and being in contact with nature, this is definitely your place.
It's a second time we're renting this house on Christmas and it was just as it was our first time - a fantastic experience! The house is extremely cosy, nice location, clean, spacious, just as it shows in the pictures and the description.
I particularly like the different spaces in the living room - one for sitting by the fireplace, other for watching TV, other for eating or playing games.
