We were really warmly welcomed. Everything was ready and got even a little cake on our arrival. The room was spacious and fully equipped (fully equipped kitchen, hair dryer in the bathroom, ...). I can only recommend.

The location is stunning!! Perched up on the hillside along the river in a tiny village - very quirky property with a lovely terrace overlooking the valley.
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
Everything was perfect: location is splendid in the central plaza of Bellinzona. We travelled with small kids, and they enjoyed all the toy and books that were available in the apartment. The apartment was very clean, and cosy. Having a washing machine after a week of travelling was also a plus
Great location. Literally 1 min away from the station and 5 from the city centre.
Comfortable bed, it was quiet thanks to double insolated windows.

It is difficult to compare this YH with others I have stayed in Switzerland ( eg Zermatt and St Moritz) I feel it could benefit from some tasteful modernisation but I appreciate that because of its age and heritage this would not be easy. I like it’s character which you often lose in the more purpose built modern hostels.
Thanks for our kindly host Matteo. He showed us this beautiful town, and introduced the significant Tre castelli di Bellinzona. The house is warmth cozy sweet. We are highly recommend!!
