The host prepared a couple desserts and left them in the fridge for us. I loved the macaroons, I liked how she wrote down ingredients as well if you needed to know for any allergies or dietary restrictions. For breakfast; snacks, tea and coffee were included in the suite. I personally liked the honey comb toffee.

It was a wonderful stay from start to finish! They are incredibly hospitable and do everything so lovingly. It was very clean, very cozy and the breakfast was delicious! We would come back at any time and would recommend this accommodation to anyone!
The room was immaculate and cozy, with kind and respectful staff. Kamal at the reception was incredibly helpful and displayed utmost professionalism. Additionally, the location and facilities were quite satisfactory.
I love, love, love the decor. Tudor is one of my favorite periods. I found the place charming, it's location near to the Ferry and Victoria very convenient, the staff wonderful, and the breakfast scumptious.
The rooms were very spacious and clean. Lots of little extras in the bathroom. Decor was nice. The pub was great, good menu. Breakfast room was cozy. Plenty of choices for breakfast but maybe some fresh fruit would be nice.
This was a great “middle” hotel option between the Ferry @ Swartz Bay and Downton Victoria. Quick access to Butchart Gardens, Kayaking and local eateries. Simple to hop on the freeway and head to Victoria (about 20 minutes). Room was updated with modern amenities. I loved the blend of styles between the history of “The Waddling Dog” and modern comfort!
A modern-cottage feel!
We were a party of four who spent NYE at the Mary Winspear.Centre in Sidney. The function ended at 9:00 pm New York time. After we drove back to the Waddling Dog we sat in their library where the breakfast buffet was served the next morning. The library complete with four comfy chairs and the fireplace made a lovely setting to end 2022 and being in 2023 with our friends. Thank you so much all of you. It was perfect.
The staff here were very friendly and helpful. The room is comfortable and even though it is not the most modern looking hotel it felt cozy and warm and friendly. I had to make a booking change and they were very accommodating and helpful. The breakfast room is very nice and the selections at breakfast were varied and good quality.
