The accommodation exceeded our expectations; despite being in a remote bush location, if you did not look out the windows the internal facilities would suggest you were in an inner city apartment! The design is well thought through and there are lots of little touches to make the space work really well and be very comfy. Our evening strolls on the property had us stumbling across wallabies, kangaroos, deer a fox and an echidna as well as the various birds - all good for a quiet observation. We particularly appreciated the peace and privacy for a quiet wind down post-Christmas. Communications with the host was easy and friendly.

We stayed here for our anniversary and to climb Mount Kosciusko, and we loved everything about this property. It was big spacious and had the comfiest bed. It was in a quiet, beautiful setting. It was self-sufficient on had a barbecue on full kitchen. It was the perfect place to go to after a long hike and swim in the lake.

The views are amazing! The lodge has very rustic cottage feel, extremely homely, the fireplace, the beds were super comfy, very clean, the little extras, doggies welcomed and the amazing hosts!
This place is such a treasure, I felt like I had been transported to the Alps in Europe! A ski lodge in winter that is also great for hikers in summer. There is a huge fireplace (not on during summer) and a gym/sauna (which I did use). The location is great, right next to shops and Woolies, and I was even upgraded so I could make the most of the balcony and evening sun.
David and Claire are the best hosts! Excellent tips about the area, places to eat, as well as just casual conversation.
The lodge itself is amazing. Breakfast is excellent and so much variety.
My favourite, is the lounge upstairs. It is so cosy and quiet with the fireplace. A perfect place to chill and have a drink or some tea after a long day skiing.
Cosy and warm place to stay. The rooms in grey colours with matching details are peaceful. The sitting area outside the rooms was great and the fireplace was added bonus. Dinning room was well equipped, tea, coffee, toasters, microwave, nice selection of fresh fruits and sometimes even cake 😃. The breakfast was left in the fridge the night before so you had flexibility when to have it. The lodge is located 10min walk from the town center. Parking was not a problem, alternative is parking on the street if needed.
