Their place is easily found. The owner and his wife were waiting for us when we arrived. The parking space was ready for our big car. They were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. They made every effort to ensure our comfort. You can discuss everything you need with them. They were more than happy to share the produce from their garden. Our stay was smooth and relaxed. The accommodation was spotless, very spacious, and with plenty of light. They have a big terrace. The bedrooms are comfortable. There is a free coffee and tea area. The view of Gjirokaster's old town and the surroundings is wonderful. We really loved it. Because it wasn't that far, we chose to stroll to the old town instead of driving. We really enjoyed it. There are plenty of stores, coffee shops, and restaurants. We liked their location. It's a really safe and quiet neighborhood. The accommodation has its own independent entrance. We felt well cared for.

I don’t think the pictures and descriptions do this house justice. It’s beautiful with amazing views of the castle. 5mins walk from the main bazar. It’s been lovingly restored by the family. Lovely personal touches throughout the house. Everything is new and exceptionally clean. Large outside courtyard with a lovely little sunny terrace to have coffee in the morning. The family are so helpful and go over and above to help. We had fresh eggs from their hens for breakfast and a fig cake delivered still warm the next day. They were there to help start the car when the battery went flat. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back.

I'd booked a 20m² room with sofa, balcony and view but got a 14m² room without none of it. A bit disappointing.
Apart from that I have only words of praise left. A charming family owned place with only four rooms. Tastefully restored with quality materials. Spotless clean. A nice cosy patio. Good and quiet location just 5 min.s walk from the bustling Old city center. Very kind and welcoming reception.

Our stay at Grandpa’s home was absolutely charming. The house was located in the historical part of the town only 6min away from the old bazaar. The room was super cozy and beautifully decorated in an authentic regional style, very clean and with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. There was absolutely nothing that was missing. The highlight of our stay was of course the delicious breakfast that was served by the most charming and energetic grandpa in the patio with a direct view of the castle. Would absolutely recommend!

Everything is perfect, cozy, clean and tidy. All meals and breakfast are homemade. There’s a fireplace in the living room. Fully equipped kitchen. Big common areas.
The included breakfast is provided in a separate cafe (te kube), which itself is very lovely and cosy. The owner works for an NGO that is involved with the cultural heritage and development of the city of Gjirokaster, and (if you asks) shares interesting informations about the city`s history, its ongoing restauration and other interesting matters.
