Really enjoyed it, Falls are out of this world but go early as it does get busy and you will fight with self takers to get photos. The town itself is fairly easy and there are some good bars (river brewery which also had lots of live music on) and shops (particularly Elephants walk arcade). Look out cafe is great and has a fab art gallery there too. Overall a super chilled and cool place to visit,

Even though we visited in the low water period, the falls are spectacular, both up close when walking around the falls park, and also from a helicopter - we would highly recommend visitors to do both.
Good restaurants are few and far between, but we would definitely recommend the Lookout Cafe. The staff were very good and great entertainment, particularly their singing and dancing at tables where people were celebrating birthdays. The food is wholesome and well cooked, the views are excellent, including close up views of the zip line and cross river swing.
The town itself is not so good, full of repetitive shops aimed at tourists, dirty and not really worth spending much time in. The shops tend to have o prices on display, as the owners charge visitors substantially more than locals for items.

I was concerned about going in October at the end of the dry season. It was fine , although very warm , the advantage being the visuals of all 16 points at the falls were dynamic . The people of Zimbabwe are wonderful and extremely hospitable.

People are very friendly and helpful.
People are very friendly and helpful. A better time to visit would have been in August perhaps. The falls were at their lowest. We stayed at Shearwater Explorers Lodge and later at The Shrub Lodge. Both were good accommodations.
The river cruises on the Zambezi were well run and well worth the money.
Zimbabwe will not sell a multiple entry visa to Canadians. Therefore, when we visited Chobe we had to re-buy our visas. In total it cost 2 of us $300 USD for Visas. Felt this was not right. Canadians should consider a visit to Zimbabwe complicated. If we had wanted to cross the bridge to Zaire we also would have paid another $75USD each to come back to Zimbabwe. Political grudges played out through the Visas.

Everything is sooo pricey especially the park fees and transportation. There’s plenty of accommodation for every price range and the tour operators are efficient. It’s very safe and the people are nice and helpful. There is soo much to see in Victoria falls I’m in love with the town. Food options are not a lot though
