I was so surprised; we were greeted with a lovely handwritten note and fresh roses from Judys garden with some sherry in a beautiful decanter. Loved that the host had such an attention for detail. Everything you could possibly have needed, and more was in the unit. You literally only need to pack your cloths and that is it. Judy was so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Each unit is done in its own personal theme it was so quirky and individualized loved that. The units are very private, and the place was spotlessly clean. The best part was no children allowed but was pet friendly. Perfect for a romantic getaway with your fur babies. It was the coldest weekend of the year, but that didn't get us down and we had a wonderful fireplace with a fire already set up for us upon arrival to keep us cosy and warm, and even a jacuzzi bath. Loved The DVD collection games and library goodies you could take back to your unit. This is not just a place for summertime Judy has taken care of everything even electric blankets. Will rush back very soon LOVED OUR STAY.

What a wonderful place just outside the city. An enormous house with 2 bedrooms and comfortable beds. The house was spotlessly clean and fully equipped. Waking up to the sounds of the farm animals made the weekend extra special. The peace and quiet and tranquil setting was just what was needed to recharge our batteries.

This is a great place to recharge your batteries. Johannes and Christy were very welcoming. I loved the fact that they kept in touch but not in an intrusive manner. Everything was well thought out. The kitchen had enough utensils and the 1st thing that struck us is how clean the rooms and kitchen was. It was a cold weekend and there were enough blankets and the fire places kept us warm and toasty. I would recommend this place to anyone especially those with young children.

Blue Roan Country Lodge was perfect for this. It was close to the wedding venue and so clean and comfortable. Great value for money. We wish we had planned to stay longer as there was a lot to do in the surrounding areas which we would've liked to have done.
It is perfect self-catering accommodation and welcomes pets.
We loved our stay and will be back for mini weekend get-aways.
